From the Team blog...
1) Do you have any brother or sisters?
I have one sister. Her name is Melissa and she is awesome.
2) What holidays do you spend with family?
Well, I spend a lot of holidays with my Tao/ spiritual family. I'd like to spend Passover, but it's hard to get to the east coast. I spent New Year's and Christmas with friends and my sister.
3) Which relative(s) do you talk to most?
My sister and my aunt and uncle. I was close to my grandma before she passed.
4) Do you have any pets in your family?
No, but we always had doggies growing up.
5) Did you have special family traditions growing up? (vacations, games, tooth fairies?)
We did have the tooth fairy and the standard canon of fictional beings. My sister and I used to make up musicals and plays and put on funny costumes.

Help

1) One little sister I grew up with, one older half sister I didn't and one older half brother I didn't. We're all close now despite being raised in three different households.
2) As many as I can, we're all busy and live in all corners of the country. Even when we're not together, we know we're all loved and thinking of each other.
3) My little sister, she's wonderful, she always knows what to say, my mom and my aunt, (she's like a second mom) - So many beautiful women in my life!
4) I have 2 dogs at home, sis has 2, mom and dad have 2. When we all come together, it's as much a dog reunion as a human gathering.
5) We watch Jesus Christ Superstar on just about every holiday, even thanksgiving. The whole family can sing every word.
Hehe, I like “Tao/spiritual family.” :)
1) Do you have any brother or sisters?
One bro, not counting Dharma brothers and sisters.
2) What holidays do you spend with family?
Erm… I can't say anything regular. I'm in college. I spent Christmas with my aunt and cousins and their family because I had to go somewhere. I usually spend holidays in college with other people's families. Spend New Year's with the brothers and sisters of Blue Cliff Monastery.
3) Which relative(s) do you talk to most?
Um…. I don't really talk to any relatives very often, so the ones I do talk to are about the same…. there's my bro, my mom, my aunt, and one of my cousins, though not sure if she counts. I am pretty happy I can talk to my aunt and cousin(s) because I didn't meet any of them until very recently. Oh, yeah, and on Dad's side I talk to my tertiary cousin.
I like to think that my dad is the one I talk to most because he is always there in my head expressing curiosity and love and vehemence and laziness even though his physical form passed from sight years ago.
4) Do you have any pets in your family?
Don't really believe in “pets,” but we liked to play with kittens growing up, and my mom always fed the cats till we had 20 of them and they had six toes from inbreeding. My dad was a fan of dogs.
5) Did you have special family traditions growing up? (vacations, games, tooth fairies?)
Um… err… well, my parents were separated since I was a baby, so we traditionally lived with Dad and spent weekends with the other parent. I never thought we were much of a family, though… not well-structured.
