Friday Five & Giving

Posted on Dec 4th, 2008 by Jessica : The Evolutionary Connector - Gaia Jessica

1) What gift(s) would you like to give the world?
Clarity, wisdom, good schools and good books about vegetarianism & good vegetarian food.

2) What is the most unusual gift you have received?

I think the talking dolls I got as a child are pretty strange, in retrospect. Recently I got a gift of a little toy and attached was a certificate for the international star registry so I can go name my own star :)

3) What do you like best about gift-giving.
Letting someone know that I love them and I see them. Smiles.

4) What gifts do you want for the holidays?
I like cards because they say friendly things. I also want a new sofa, but I don't think Santa has room in his sleigh ;) Ooh! Other than that I think I'd like some eco-friendly make-up to play with. Or crafty stuff.

5) When has a gift(s) made you feel warm and fuzzy inside?
When I get cards I usually feel warm and fuzzy. I always feel very loved when I get presents in the mail. (Maybe that's why I like online shopping ;) But, people who are far away don't have to send you gifts, so when they do it means they are really thinking about you and went the extra mile(s).

Tagging: Jodi, Dave, Mikey D, Kitty, & Amrita. (You're invited to post and answer these questions in your own blog and tag others to do the same :)

1) What gift(s) would you like to give the world?
Give more love and understanding. Also fund someone's education. And most important, to help spread the glories of kirtan, devotional singing.

2) What is the most unusual gift you have received?

My wife has a modest collection of watches, and when I presented her one on her birthday, she just decided to also give me one too! Although I don't normally wear body accessories, especially watches with leather straps,  that's what I got. Since it was a gesture of love, it was received with love.

3) What do you like best about gift-giving.
Best when the gift is given to me, haha… Seriously, being able to share with friends and loved ones the blessings I receive, being able to give back, even when there's no special occasion at all.

4) What gifts do you want for the holidays?
Well, I could use a couple of new shirts so I can have a makeover. And Santa, throw in a music player, please.

5) When has a gift(s) made you feel warm and fuzzy inside?
Sometimes all it takes is a smile and a greeting, or a hug, nothing material but goes straight to the heart.

1) What gift(s) would you like to give the world?

The gift of love… I have a dream, where every day as the sun rises, each and every person on the planet arises fully connected to the source, and completely aware of their purpose.  We wake up, to live our purpose to the fullest, to the mutual benefit of the universe… and this dream is only possible when a sea of universal unconditional love surrounds us all.

2) What is the most unusual gift you have received?

The greatest mistake I ever made… I could not believe I was so very wrong, and how believing I was right could hurt the people I loved.  God gave me a brand new opening that never would have been possible, without making such a terrible mistake.

The other gift was a signed copy of Coretta Scott King's autobiography that my neighbour gave me when I was very young.  It was a strange gift then, but grew into being one of the greatest gifts I was ever given.

3) What do you like best about gift giving.

The joy in the hearts of others.

4) What gifts do you want for the holidays?

Family health, and my wife being free from our current demons.

5) When has a gift(s) made you feel warm and fuzzy inside?

Sarah can answer that for me.
