1) Who is the last person to whom you said "I love you"?
Hmmm, Ryan, my fella, perhaps. Or maybe my friend Rachel.

2) Who did you look up to as a child?
My uncle and grandma.

3) Which public or historical figure (s) do you admire?
Malcolm X, Lao Tzu, Mother Teresa, Master Henry Chang

4) What qualities in others inspire you?
Clarity, Wisdom, Integrity, Joy

5) What makes you feel loved & appreciated?
Being told :),  Hugs

1) What gift(s) would you like to give the world?
Clarity, wisdom, good schools and good books about vegetarianism & good vegetarian food.

2) What is the most unusual gift you have received?
I think the talking dolls I got as a child are pretty strange, in retrospect. Recently I got a gift of a little toy and attached was a certificate for the international star registry so I can go name my own star :)

3) What do you like best about gift-giving.
Letting someone know that I love them and I see them. Smiles.

4) What gifts do you want for the holidays?
I like cards because they say friendly things. I also want a new sofa, but I don't think Santa has room in his sleigh ;) Ooh! Other than that I think I'd like some eco-friendly make-up to play with. Or crafty stuff.

5) When has a gift(s) made you feel warm and fuzzy inside?
When I get cards I usually feel warm and fuzzy. I always feel very loved when I get presents in the mail. (Maybe that's why I like online shopping ;) But, people who are far away don't have to send you gifts, so when they do it means they are really thinking about you and went the extra mile(s).

1) Where have you traveled most recently?
Tucson, AZ for Thanksgiving.

2) What city/ country have you always wanted to go? Is there a place that draws you?
I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland for some reason. I think it's the Farley in me.

3) Which place(s) have you found particularly magical or beautiful?
Australia is really beautiful. I was on the west coast near Augusta and there were big breaching whales I could hear singing at night from the house I was staying in near the beach. The forests looked like magical fairylands. And, Rwanda is absolutely gorgeous. Its violent history has overshadowed a stunning land of volcanoes, terraced hillsides and incredible fuzzy gorillas.

4) If you could travel anywhere this holiday season, where would you go?
I’d love to go to a snowy place with lots of lights, a fireplace, vegan food, hot tea and holiday decorations. Yep, a lovely, warm cabin surrounded by snow.

5) Who would you bring with you?
It’s nothing without the people, which is why I’m staying home this Christmas. But, if I could, I’d bring my fella, my sister & her girlfriend and my whole Tao community.

1) What new experience(s) did you have in 2008?
I learned about the I Ching in an incredible class series taught by one of my Tao     teachers. It has been awesome and helped me understand the universe.

2)  What inspired you in 2008?
The newcomers learning and growing in my Tao community.

 3) What challenged you this year?
Balancing domestic life and taking care of myself individually.

4) What new person or people entered your life?
My new friends Ashley & Phillip.

5) Which global event(s) impacted you most?
I think it must have been the presidential election in the US. I campaigned a bit and it was inspiring to see most of my family motivated.
