Hello Beautiful People!
Today is Thanksgiving eve. I love Thanksgiving, which sometimes surprises people because I'm vegan. But, what I love is that there's a day to celebrate and share gratitude. And, so I think it's perfect that it was just prior to Thanksgiving that we launched the Seed System, formerly the Trust System, which is indeed all about showing appreciation and giving thanks for meaningful content on the site.
We've had so much feedback on this system, and we have been listening. We've changed it dramatically in the last three days so it might better serve the community. We've worked to empower the community as well as protect it from negative feedback that might be arbitrary.
Jake, the creator of this system, is one of the most incredibly compassionate and mindful people. I think he's done an amazing job and we have some tools that will allow us to make this community a better place.
I think the Seed System is exciting. it allows us to share our thanks abundantly. It allows the community to have a voice and flag inappropriate items that violate the TOU. I think it will strengthen our community immensely.
And, I have also appreciated all of the feedback, especially the constructive criticism. We are always listening and we will always be. And, as Jake said in his blog, it's inspiring to see everyone so invested in what we do here. I love that people care so much about this place. And, I hope this remains true as we move forward. there will undoubtedly be changes and shifts (we gotta be the change, after all) and I hope everyone in this community knows that the team here cares about your thoughts, ideas & experience. We care about changing the world with you. That's why we do what we do.
In fact, I think we may have just created the Seed System for our own benefit. We just wanted another way to express our gratitude for what all of us have created here. So, it's Thanksgiving tomorrow (in the US anyhow), go out and give thanks to someone you appreciate in this place. Spread the love.
